Founded in 1987 Chimera Gallery is a showplace for Lopez artists and artisans, providing a central location in Lopez Village for the display and sale of their quality fine art and crafts. Our gallery features paintings, prints, photography, fiber arts, jewelry, metalwork, bookbinding, botanical art, woodwork, ceramics and glass.
The gallery differs from what you might be used to, in that it is run cooperatively. Each working member contributes to its functioning and upkeep, including working a couple days per month as a salesperson.
We encourage you to take a moment and peruse our website. We hope that you are inspired by our art, as we are inspired by the year-round beauty, peacefulness, and storms of these San Juan Islands.
Our gallery is located in the Lopez Plaza building on the south side of Lopez Rd right next to Bucky’s Grill and one door down from Holly B’s Bakery. Come in and see us.
