Oil paintings in an Impressionistic Style. Paintings that depict the Pacific Northwest and the San Juan Islands. Inspired by the San Juan Islands, in the Pacific Northwest.

The theme of my paintings is the rural northwest. That theme includes seascapes, inspired by the rocky west coast. My painting style is reminiscent of impressionism. However, at times it can realism and at other times, expressionism. I offer original oil paintings, and prints of the oil paintings.

I live on a farm on an San Juan Island. I have been living there since 1995. I draw my inspiration from the rural surroundings and the ocean surrounding my island.

I came to oil painting late in life in 2018. I am self taught, with the help of artist friends and videos.

Xfit, hiking, swimming, gardening and scrabble keep my mind fresh. These activities invite new painting ideas.
