Eirene Blomberg

Eirene is passionate about creating with natural materials. Inspired by the island landscape and her experience of  the feminine, she carves stone, weaves willow and incorporates other organic materials in her sculptures.

She enjoys engaging in sensory dialog with a variety of marbles, alabaster and other hard and soft stones. Her indoor and outdoor sculptures are shaped using traditional hand tools  – hammer, chisel, files –   power tools,  – angle and die grinders with blades, grinding wheels and lots of sand paper.
