Gertie’s House is a full-service restaurant and bar, featuring breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner and drinks, in a historic building that has served the Eastsound, Orcas Island community as a schoolhouse, church, and boarding house over the years. “Gertie” Turner arrived in Eastsound in the 1930s, and set up a boarding house and restaurant here, serving up her famous chicken dinners and warm hospitality.

Now, Gertie’s offers a delicious and friendly experience, with a full bar and outdoor seating. Our food is made with locally grown products whenever available.
