In 2002, Sharon Abreu and Michael Hurwicz started Irthlingz Arts-Based Environmental Education to engage, inspire and empower people of all ages to become stewards of the Earth. They have worked with numerous local students to perform musical & theatrical presentations for the community.

The mission of Irthlingz is to use multimedia entertainment and technology that’s educational and fun to ignite love for our environment and inspire proactive care of our world with a collective consciousness

In 2017, they released “Songs to Save the Salish Sea” to raise awareness about the local communities’ efforts to prevent coal, oil and gas projects in the Salish Sea.
