Lily Nash

Lily Nash is a textile based artist whose work explores the connective, sensory experience of working with fabric, a needle, and thread. Inspired by the resourcefulness and adaptability of past generations, Lily seeks wisdom in the ancestral and embodied experience of quilting. Her practice is guided by the material stories that reveal themselves through meditative hand-stitching. Using quilts as vessels, she connects the women who came before her and those who will live on after her.

Lily came out to the San Juan Islands as an artist in resident at Alchemy Art Center in 2025. She currently lives, teaches, and maintains a studio practice on Lopez Island, WA. Join her inter-island ferry sewing circle, “Stitch and Bitch at Sea” this Winter facilitated through Alchemy Art Center.
