Maria has been a member of the Orcas Island Artworks Gallery for 23 years. Her love affair with art began at the age of four, when she discovered a box of watercolors that belonged to her mother. After a few hours of painting, she announced to her family that she would become an artist when she grew up….
She never strayed from her path, and she continued her journey as an artist throughout her life. Her art thrives on experimentation and versatility, creating jewelry, ceramics, collage, and mixed media. Each piece she creates is a steppingstone on the path to self-discovery and artistic evolution.
