Michelle Hamon

Sara spent 20 years as the innkeeper and steward of her family’s historic hotel on Orcas Island. In 2022 she sold her interest and now explores beauty through textiles, ceramics, and her peaceful island home. If that sounds too serene to be true, it is. She is also a mother and stepmother to three wild island girls.

She loves the imperfections in her work, a fingerprint here and a bend there. Every vessel is unique and captures one time, one encounter with clay. She intends that her work shares her human hand as an expression of the heart, captured in clay.
