As a gardener by day, Summer Barbone’s song writing inspiration comes from seasonal rhythms and an ever-evolving exploration of what it means to be alive.
Her songs are honest and earthen… born somewhere between the humbling smallness you feel under a moonless night and the smell of rich, black soil between fingers in early spring. With a voice described as “warm golden honey”, her songs will leave you with both, heartwarming sighs and haunting tingles.
Summer finds inspiration from a wide array of musicians, including Gregory Alan Isakov, Ani DiFranco, and Nathaniel Rateliff, Fiona Apple, and more.
She can be seen playing solo as well as with a band throughout the San Juan Islands, Bellingham and down the PNW coast often, at venues such as The Central Saloon (Seattle, WA), Atlantis Lounge (Portland, OR), Northwest Herbal Fair (Quilcene, WA), ResoNation Fest (Lopez Island, WA), and beyond!
