I’ve been a professional artist of one sort or another all of my adult life. I started making jewelry as a “quick sketch” technique and I’m still doing it. Although I work in other media, jewelry continues to be a repository for my thoughts and ideas.
Earrings are a special love of mine–like miniature sculpture, doubled. Sometimes they are symmetrical, sometimes not, but always my attempt is to make them light in weight and very wearable. I also make neck jewelry, bracelets, and various kinds of hair jewelry.
Over the years I have located sources for well made clip findings, for those of you who do not have pierced ears. Please just ask if you would like to switch to clips, adjustable screw backs, hooks, or posts.
I work alone in my studio on a small, rural homestead in the American San Juan Islands. We are the northwest corner of the country, very near Canada. Life here is quiet and beauty is everywhere.
Art is cricket song, the defining noise of our species. I try to keep singing.
