Susie Shipman learned the art of bookbinding to provide herself and friends with high-quality sketchbooks, journals and albums. Now she extends the opportunity for others to enjoy these durable and beautifully hand-bound books.

Susie hand stitches each book using her version of long stitch, a fifteenth century binding technique she learned from a book conservator. Susie’s intention is to construct a book that will outlast a lifetime.
